CLASS 1 - Introductory A (2008) CLASS 2 – Prelim 2 (2016)

ALL classes open to both members and non-members

Class Restrictions:

Class 1: Combination not to have won a prelim or higher level test. However HC entries are permitted. Horses entered in the Area team competition are not allowed to compete in this class.

Includes an Area 11 Riding Clubs winter team friendly dressage competition: teams of three, one of each in classes 2, 3 & 4.

Team members in classes 2 & 3:horse can have unlimited BD prelim points but no points at novice or above.Team members in class 4:horse can have unlimited prelim/novice points and can have up to 35 points at elementary but must not have any points at medium or higher.

Entry Fees:

Individuals: ERC members £12 / Non-members £15 per class, plus £3 per rider towards first aid.

Teams: £48 per team (team members also entered as an individual in their respective classes) - entry form for teams on Area 11 website.

Please note that cameras / recording equipment are allowed on the show ground and by entering, you are accepting that your image may be taken.Any professional photographer or camerapersons must report to the secretary and pay a fee of £15 to Priory Equestrian.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. All events will be run in accordance with The British Riding Club Rule Book

2. The decision of the Judge is final

3. Any objection must be made in writing within 30 minutes of the incident, accompanied by a deposit of £20 which will be refunded if the objection is sustained.

4. Neither the organisers nor Priory Equestrian accept liability for any claims in respect of injury or damage to any person, animal or property, however caused.

5. The organisers reserve the right to amend the schedule as necessary including moving tests to a different arena if circumstances require this.

6. The organisers reserve the right to reject or cancel any entry made by any person or cancel any class (refunding any fees paid less £2 per competitor to cover administrative expenses).

7. No entries will be refunded without a Vet or Doctor's Certificate

8. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.

9. Everyone mounted, whether a competitor or not, must wear a ‘riding hat’ designed to provide protection and with a three point harness properly adjusted and fitted. Failure to do so may incur elimination. To comply with BRC 2017 rules, hats should meet one of the following standards: British PAS015: 1998 or 2011 provided BSI Kitemarked or Inspec IC marked; European VG1 01.040: 2014-12 provided BSI Kitemarked or Inspec IC marked; American ASTM F1163: 2004a or 04a onwards provided they are SEI marked SNELL E2001 and SNELL E2016; and/or Australia/New Zealand AS/NZS 3838: 2006 onwards provided they are SAI global marked. Competitors are responsible for ensuring their hat meets the required standard.

10. Stewards' instructions must be followed.

11. Misuse of whips or spurs will incur elimination. Blatant use of bad language may result in the competitor being eliminated and/or barred from further competitions.

12. Juniors must be accompanied by an adult.

13. The organisers reserve the right to eliminate any competitor who, in their opinion, places him/herself or others in any danger or who fails to observe the rules in this schedule.

14. Horses who are not competing are not allowed on the show ground without prior permission from the show secretary.

HEALTH & SAFETY

The event is organised in accordance with health and safety legislation and all who have, to any extent, control of the site on which this event is run are responsible for ensuring that everything reasonably practicable is done to ensure health, safety and welfare of those attending the event. The organisers have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective please take all reasonable precautions to avoid accidents, and obey the instructions of all Stewards and Officials.
