I had a chance to look at the site and it looks great. I put together some info that wouold be good to post. I tried to insert it on the site you sent and send it back, but it would not let me insert info. So here are a few things I put together.
I tried to e-mail you my brochure, but it did not work so I will just type it over.
Kennel History
Flat Creek Kennels is the home of 45 howling dogs that have traveled 10's of thousands of miles in their short existence. Kevin Lupo and Kennel Partner Val Mackler (a 76 year old female dog musher) started Flat Creek Kennels in the spring of 2000. Over the last two years they have strived to develop a loving environment for some of the toughest athletes in the world.
Kevin was born and raised in Greenville SC, and he attended J.L. Mann High School. He later decided to follow his heart towards the wilderness of Alaska. First, he lived with the Vuntut Gwitchin (an athabascan native village) in Old Crow, Yukon Territory. Old Crow is an isolated village located 150 miles from the nearest road sytem. ( Maybe a good place for a link to oldcrow.com) This is where Kevin learned (from native elder Stan Njootli) how to survive with a dog team in the vast northern artic. After a year of training sled dogs for a 1000 miles sled dog race called the Yukon Quest, (yukonquest.com) Kevin found his way to Fairbanks, AK, and built his home 24 miles east of Fairbanks in Two Rivers, AK.
Training
Over the course of the winter, Kevin will travel over 2000 miles training and racing the dog team. It all begins in the fall when the temperature starts to drop. Training begins long before the snow ever begins to fall by means of a four-wheeler instead of a sled. Kevin starts training by traveling 2-3 miles a day, slowly increasing the mileage as the dogs gain strength. By mid-December the team is traveling between 20-50 miles a day until they are like high performance athletes that can accomplish anything. After countless hours of hard work and many, many sleepless nights, the racing season finally begins in mid-December.

Sponsorship Programs
Kevin has been on the rise since his mushing career started in 2000, however, in order to compete in the larger more competitive races, Kevin has been developing a better dog team and trying to obtain sponsorship. With support and sponsorship, Kevin's determination and abilities can take the team right to the top.
However, in order to compete in the racing circuit, Flat Creek Kennels need the help and support of people just like you.!!!
The Kennel spends on average of one dollar per dog per day to maintain a healthy racing husky. There are also countless other cost that well exceed the limits of an individuals income.
If you or anyone you know would like to contribute to Flat Creek Kennels and Kevin Lupo, please feel free to contact us at any time. There is always a current gear list that is available and the prices range from $13-1500 per item. There are also several other detailed sponsorship programs available within Flat Creek Kennels.
Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated by the dogs and Kevin.
