The Penrith Farmers and Fine Food Market is on this Saturday, this boutique Farmers and Fine Food Market located outside the Joan Sutherland Performing Art Centre on High Street Penrith has all your local farm fresh foods. Farmer like Steve Craig from Blue Mountains Honey, and Michael Galea from LLandilo Fresh Farms eggs. Plenty of local veggies and value added product available.

I had a call from Lavinia from Lavinia Soaps from the Wollondilly Harvest Trail. She tell me she has a great range of new soaps and a new studio for her other love, art. It is worth a visit.

If you are down in the Wollindilly Shire there is plenty to do. Watkins Family Farm, the Pick Your Own Mandarin farm at Wisemans Ferry has just three picking days left. This a beautiful Farm and you can take a picnic lunch and enjoy yourself looking at the river and sampling a few juicy mandarins. Saturday, Sunday and Monday of the long weekend are the last three days of the season.

The Bilpin Flower Show, the 53rd Bilpin Flower show, kicks of this weekend and if you like flowers then this event is one for your diary. You can also vist the Blue Mountains Botanical Garden at Mount Tomah.

Oranges can be found at Richmond with Schofield Orchard on Yarramundi Lane having plenty. They do Pick Your Own six day a week (Sunday to Friday) and BG Citrus at Cornwallis have shed sales and are open Friday to Tuesday.
