Task

Work with a partner

1.  Research.

Use computers (or reference books and printouts) to research one of the above famous Roman aqueducts. Try to find out some of the following information.

·  When it was built.

·  Where it is or where it supplied water.

·  How long and how tall it is.

·  How many arches it has.

·  How many layers of arches.

·  Any other interesting information about it.

Make notes from your research to help inform your presentation.

2.  Present your information

Present your information as a lift up flap item for the class display around the model aqueduct.

·  Fold a piece of A4 card in half (with the fold along the width).

·  Turn it so the fold is at the top.

·  Neatly write the name of your aqueduct along the top and underline it with a ruler.

·  Either draw a picture of your aqueduct or print a picture of it to go underneath your title.

·  Open your card by lifting the flap. Write a paragraph about your aqueduct (in the section below the fold) using the notes from your research. You could use the computer (and stick the paragraph in) or write it by hand.
