Hyundai Motor Announces Sponsorship of Archery World Cup

  • Hyundai Motor agrees to a three-year sponsorship deal to support World Archery

November 25, 2015– Hyundai Motor Company has announced a three-year sponsorship deal supporting World Archery, including title rights for the Hyundai Archery World Cup in 2016, 2017 and 2018, and the Hyundai World Archery Championships in 2017.Thehigh profile deal sees the Korean vehicle manufacturer receive extensive branding at global archery events and exposure in all related broadcasts, as well as securing sole automotive sector rights to the sponsorship. Hyundai Motor will also work with World Archery on activation partnerships around the events, continuing thebrand’s dedication tomaking emotional connections through sport and culture to communicate with fans and communities around the globe.

Hyundai Motor has a long-standing association with archery, having supportedthe Korea Archery Association since 1985 by assisting athletes through sports science and providing cutting-edge equipment. In Korea,the women’s archery team of Hyundai Mobis and the men’s archery team of Hyundai Steel are virtually world-class teams, and play a crucial role in the development of Korean archery.

The Archery World Cup recently visited Mexico City’s central Zocalo Square; and has seen events held under the Eiffel Tower in Paris; in Copenhagen’s Nyhavn Canal; and in the Olympic Capital of Lausanne. The next World Cup series of events begins April 26, 2016, in Shanghai, China, with worldwide exposure guaranteed as the tournament continues on to Medellin, Columbia, and Antayla in Turkey.
