b)We have been posting about 700 invitations every year based on the addresses noted through Registration forms for various meets and as collected from various Alumni. But, we are not sure whether they are reaching the respective Alumni or not; whereas, if it is once registered by the individual, we are sure of the details and the posting will be fruitful. Hence, we request those who have not attended the earlier meets to register with us and also help us in motivating your friends to register with the Association. In future, we may post only to those who have registered with the Association. Registrations can be done by post or by e mail. Registration form is enclosed to this invitation. Changes if any in the details (address, phone numbers and e mail) given earlier may please be intimated by those who have registered earlier.

c)Executive Committee: The present Executive committee completes a term of 2 years and in this meet we need to re-elect the committee.

The existing members (only)may proposeany existing member / swith their concurrence for various posts to reach us by 15th December, 2009. The new team will be elected on 20th December, 09.

d)Membership drive: You may agree that there will be at least 3000 Alumni of our college living in Hyderabad. But, we have only 22 Patrons and 164 Life Members of the Association. We request all of you to enroll as Patrons / Life Members. The membership is not limited to Hyderabad alumni. Only when we grow in number we can take up many more activities. We request the youngsters to come forward to take lead in the activities. They have all the freedom. The bye laws of the Association can be made available (by soft copy) on request.

e)Financial aspects: The donations of the Patrons and Life Members are held in fixed deposits in OBC, Habsiguda branch and we are entitled to use only the interest earned, for any good cause. The fixed deposits include the balance money of the meets also. Hence, we should grow in number to have more finance with us.

f)Limiting Membership Categories: It is proposed to limit the Membership categories to ‘Member’ and ‘Patron’ only, abolishing the Annual Membership. Over a period of time, it is felt that it is not serving any purpose and no one is joining as Annual Member by sending their membership fee in the beginning of the calendar year. In the absence of Annual Membership, the Life Member is re-designated as Member. This needs to be ratified by the General Body.

g)Obituary: It is our tradition to respect the departed souls and we observe a minute’s silence during the meets and pray for the soul to rest in peace. With deep sorrow we convey the demise of Sri SN Kilaru on 2nd January, 2009 and Sri P Hanumantha Reddy (77-82,Elel) on 20th November, 09. Sri Kilaru was the backbone of our Alumni Association and organized many meets, though he was from the faculty.
