HSSA Board Meeting Minutes

Members Present: Bert Ewer, Andy Mayry, Danette Seboe, Kelli Thomas, Crystal Berg, Todd Sieger, Jim Sonneson

Visitors: Ron Martin, Brad Johnston

Visitor input: Ron Martin reported a good season but expressed concerns about too many girls on the gold team. Ron asked that the board consider paying for the national tournament. Ron also expressed concern over a girl making the gold team who had never played softball before and required extra coaching time to learn the basics. Brad asked that the board purchase team materials far in advance so they are ready should they qualify. Materials would include pints for trading, gift bags, etc.

  8. Scoreboard being purchase for HS and Rose Road field 2
  9. Discussing Keenes upgrade options vs. Rose Road
  10. Determining $ to make Keenes playable or add a field at Rose
  11. Park Board will get numbers together then make decision
  12. Arrowhead Fastpitch League
  13. August 10 end of season meeting, Bert attended
  14. 10U and 12U umps need clinic and registration (liability protection)
  15. League requesting all umps in shirts
  16. HSSA Board
  17. Andy Mayry and Liza Butkiewicz-Hartley are stepping down
  18. Board members joining (possibly Jordan Shafer and Michelle Sweeney)
  19. End of Season Survey topiocs

  28. No rental rates for HSSA
  29. Reserve through the scheduler
  30. Must be one designated scheduler for HSSA
  31. Priority use goes by MSHSL seasons
  32. Pay $30 to use
  33. Revisit and fill out in February
  34. Association must replace anything that gets broken
