HRIS Analyst

Purpose

Purpose:

Serves as an individual contributor for the completion of assigned projects and other related assignments. May be a participating project team member, or may serve as the primary resource for completion of department or university-wide projects.

Essential Functions

Function 1:

Will assist in establishing and monitoring key HRIS metrics in an effort to understand significant organizational trends and patterns and to measure the impact of HR services, programs and initiatives on the campus community. Prepares written and electronic reports. Performs required analysis and research, both cyclical and project based for the HR department.

40% Time

Function 2:

Maintains HR department analytics through the software systems available, and other inside and outside resources. Ensures all information is complete and accurate for the departmental reports. Sources benchmarking data and applies to analytics to ensure accuracy of benchmarking against best practices. Provides recommendations on how to correct any data issues discovered, as well as how to improve the overall data integrity of the HR Systems.

30% Time

Function 3:

Work with various UT-Arlington departments, reviews and documents organizational processes and workflow, and recommends improvements as needed. Revises and/or develops responsive performance metrics. Ensures goals and metrics are fully communicated to relevant parties. Conducts analysis of departmental resources requirements and recommends solutions for skills, equipment, and automation gaps as appropriate.

Function 4:

Conducts reviews and assessment of staff development plans and staff performance management strategies. Serves as project manager for assigned projects: On an ongoing basis, monitors progress of project and provides regular updates to management and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a Human Resources field, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of experience in human resources, business, accounting, or a related area. Must have excellent working knowledge of statistical analysis in order to provide customized reports to inform strategic planning and program analysis. Must have a high level of proficiency in MS Excel along with the ability to extract and analyze key information from various data sources. Experience working at the highest levels of a complex organization and developing/delivering executive level presentations. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
