Teach North Texas – WebCheckout User Guide / Updated 01/24/2014

HOW TO USE WEBCHECKOUT:

  1. Users – There are two processes to check out materials.
  2. Checkouts –
  3. This is similar to a library system. You will simply go into the TNT Workroom in Marquis 127 and choose the books, equipment, etc. you want to check out.
  4. Check the materials out at the front desk with the student assistant on duty. You will need to provide a date that you plan to bring the materials back.
  1. Patron Initiated Reservations (PIR) –
  2. For teach materials (or in cases when you need to reserve materials to pick up), all students and faculty will need to use the PIR component of WebCheckout. You will go to the website and log in using your UNT EUID and password.
  1. When to make the reservation:
  2. For materials being used for teaches, reservations need to be made through WebCheckout during class the week before the teach.
  3. All other reservations need to be made at least two days in advance of the pick-up date and time.

Note: Reservations can be edited once they are made until one day before they are scheduled to be picked up. At this point, we will pull the requested materials and freeze the reservation. If changes need to be made after this point, you will need to come to the TNT Workroom and speak with a student assistant on duty or the Inventory Specialist.

  1. When you log in to WebCheckout, you will be under the “Set Times” tab. Choose the dates and times you want to pick up and return the materials you are borrowing. For materials being used for teaches, you should pick the materials up no earlier than one day in advance, and you should bring the materials back no later than one day after your teach.

Note: If your schedule requires an exception to these rules, talk to your instructor for approval.

Note: All materials must be returned by the last day of finals week during the Fall and Spring semesters.

  1. In the “Notes” box under the “Set Times” tab, the following information must be provided: names of all students using materials (if working in a group), course number and section, name of instructor, and special requests such as materials that require purchase. Only list materials that have been approved by your instructor.
