Regarding your request for a visa to Italy, please send the following documentation to the above address:

1.1 Application form for each person

1 photograph for each person

2.- Your national passport, valid at least three months after you plan to leave Italy and the Schengen area, with permanent residence/work permit (arbeids-/oppholdstillatelse) in Norway, also valid at least three months after you plan to leave Italy and the Schengen area

Copies of your passport, of your residence and work permit and of all the other visas that

you may have. Applications without copies of the passport are not accepted

3.a) Letter from your school/university confirming that you are a full-time student and that your studies will continue after you return from Italy. b) Letter of acceptance into Italian school/university.

orLetter from your employer confirming that you are permanently employed and that you will continue your work in the Company after your holiday.

  1. Economic Guarantee: Bank or Postal statement (kontoutskrift), and if you are a student: Student loan certificate. Here follows a table of the MINIMUM amounts that you have to show as sufficient financial guarantee. The possession of minimum sufficient financial means does not exempt in any case the applicant from providing all the information listed on this leaflet

From 1 to 5 days of stay. A fix amount per person of MINIMUM / 2.200 NOK
From 6 to 10 days of stay. Per person per day (MINIMUM) / 360 NOK
From 11 to 20 days of stay / A fix amount of 420 NOK MIMIMUM plus 300 NOK per person per day MINIMUM
Above 20 days / A fix amount of 1.700 NOK MINIMUM, plus 230 NOK per person per day MINIMUM
  1. Travel insurance FULL RISK valid for the entire period of stay in Italy and the Schengen area.
  1. Proof of your accommodation in Italy
  1. The visa is free of charge if the applicant is married to a Norwegian or EU - member state citizen. Please enclose a copy of the Marriage Certificate (certified by a Norwegian Authority) and the passport of your husband/wife. If a copy of the passport is submitted it must be certified by a Norwegian Authority.
  1. If the applicant is a child below the age of 18 both parents must grant written permission to the Embassy before the application is accepted. Signatures of the parents must be certified by a Norwegian Authority, a birth certificate that shows the name of the parents must be submitted, and certified copies of the passports of both parents must be enclosed

7.Confirmed travelling reservation.

8.Standard visa fee: NOK 497,- for A, B, and C; NOK 621 for D/C and D. Please enclose the amount in cash and a return envelope with stamps valid for “Rekommandert”. NB! Students are exempt from paying the visa-fee.

IMPORTANT! READ CAREFULLY!

Incomplete applications will not be accepted and will be returned to the applicant immediately.

The application form MUST be filled in all its parts. Incomplete application forms will not be accepted and the request for a visa will be returned

Processing time varies according to nationalities. In general most of the visas can be processed within 10 business days.

Italian Authorities may request at any time proof of compliance with all the elements listed on this leaflet from 1 to 8. Even though you have a visa for Italy in your passport, your entry can be denied at any time in compliance with Italian laws and regulations if so is decided by the Italian Police Authorities.

You have to report to the Police Authorities within 8 days of your arrival in Italy

The documents listed above represent a MINIMUM that allows you to submit your application. Any other form of document and/or guarantee may be requested from you (i.e. receipt of prepaid hotel, prepaid plane tickets, copy of “permesso di soggiorno” if a foreign national living in Italy is inviting you, certification of the signature of the person inviting you etc.)

NB The Norwegian Immigrants Passport is not valid as a travel document in Italy.
