MISSION: Rushford College’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning is dedicated to advancing the college’s mission aimed at student success and faculty scholarship by providing all faculty members opportunities to achieve teaching excellence, foster scholarship, and continually grow through collaboration and community.

Faculty Learning Community (FLC) Program
(Outcome 1,2,4) / GOAL: Increase experimentation and implementation of research-based pedagogical approaches through inquiry-based faculty learning communities.

OBJECTIVE: Instill facilitation skills essential to leading effective FLCs / OBJECTIVE: Design, apply, and refine a research-based pedagogies in community with others / OBJECTIVE: Share and initiate experimentation with new practices among the faculty body
Scholarship of Teaching & Learning Grant Program
(Outcome 1-4) / GOAL: Stimulate scholarship of teaching and learning by providing collaborative opportunities to support publishing, presenting, and application of evidence-based practices.
SoTL Grant Project Community Meetings / Annual SoTL Conference / SoTL Publication Writing Workshop
OBJECTIVE: Advance the progression of SoTL grant projects to ensure successful completion / OBJECTIVE: Share and initiate interest and application of products of learning from SoTL projects among the faculty body / OBJECTIVE: Catalyze the completion and submission of SoTL publications
Consultation Program
(Outcome 1,2,4) / GOAL: Partner with individual faculty to resolve their instructional issues through a consultative faculty-centered reflective process.

First Year Faculty Program (FYF)

New Faculty Orientation Program
(Outcome 1-4) / GOAL: Prepare new faculty to be able to navigate the Franklin College system, adhere to policies and procedures, and be grounded in Franklin College’s Statement of Teaching Excellence and mission
