How to Login from home or another office via RDS

Note 1: These Instructions was built for windows and Internet explorer. If you use another Operating system or different Browser it may not work

Note 2: You can access other “kf apps” like this providing you have the right permissions.

  1. Go to the website
  2. Then you will come to the website shown below, please login with your Knight Frank Credentials. (first initial by your surname Example:John Smith would be jsmith)

  • NOTE: If you don’t know your password or forget your password please contact the service Desk on 02 9036 6630)
  1. Once you Login you should see similar icon to the below screen shot.
  • NOTE: Do not be alarmed if you do not see all icons because each person has different permissions
  • NOTE: The desktop icon may look different depending on the server you are connected to make sure you click on whatever is named as desktop.
  1. Please click on AU Desktop
  2. Then it will show up with the following screen shot

  1. Do not be alarmed, just click Connect and then it should bring you to the following window. (next can be ignore if another window for login does not show up)
  2. You may get another window pop up asking you to login. Please put
  3. au\(username)
  4. Password (computer login password)

  1. Please be patience as it attempts to load, this part may take up to 5 minutes if you have a slow internet connection or computer. (Ignore the next step if you do not see the screen below.)


  1. Just click yes if you have this certificate error.
  1. Then it would bring you back to the loading screen below
  1. As mention earlier depending on your computer or internet connection it may take up to 5 minutes to load
  1. It will then ask you to login one more time. As per screen shot. If AU is no shown please select “Use another account” then type in
  • AU\username(computer login name)

  • Password (computer login password)
  1. Then it will continue onto your windows as per next screen shot.

  1. Finally it will login to the main desktop and you can access your network drive like you were in the office as per below screen shot.
