“You kill a turkey with a gun and then you bake it for a long time and then you eat it” Sierra

“We shoot the turkey .. we get a gun and if it’s red I don’t shoot it but if it’s brown I do shoot it. Then I take the bones out and then fry it in a frying pan. I always put some cinnamon and sugar on mine. I fry it til the timer says zero, zero, zero .. then I just eat it” Logan

“We get a turkey from the chicken. Then you put it in the oven for fifteen minutes. Then you put what you want to put with it like French fries or something.” Hannah

“No one in my family goes hunting except my dad and he just hunts for cats .. so I just don’t know where it comes from .. maybe a cow. You put the turkey in the microwave .. we usually do 10 minutes. Then we eat it up” Payton

“First you take a gun and you shoot a dad or mom turkey. Then you put in a pan and cook it on the stove for maybe two hours. Then you put some salt on it and eat it and I like it a lot.” Tori

“One guy shoots a turkey and then he gives it to the cooks and the cooks put it in the oven for five seconds at 30 degrees. The oven rings when it’s done and then you basically just take it out and eat it.” Jacob

“Dad or mom goes to the store and gets a turkey. They pick one that is big. Then we pick all the bones out and put it in the oven for a long time … it goes ‘ding’ and we get it out. If it’s not done we put it back in. Then we eat it with corn.” Michael

“Bill shoots a turkey like he shoots birds (a bunch). Then, you have to cut it in half and take out all the blood and cut the feathers off. Then you start a fire outside with wood (we got a lot of wood) and put the turkey on the fire (not IN the fire .. just ON the fire) for 4 hours I think. Then on Thanksgiving Day we eat it with grandma and grandpa and my aunts and uncles.” Kamren

“We eat tacos so I don’t know how to cook a turkey. I think you put it on a stove and when the stove beeps you take it out and invite your friends over to eat the turkey with mashed potatoes and green beans and corn. I would like popcorn and jelly beans with mine.” Nathan

“Dad shoots the turkey when he goes huntin. The ones that are big and don’t move very fast are the ones he tries to find. Then Mom cuts all the meat out and puts it in a pan and we cook it up on the stove for 10 minutes I think. We put some stuff on it to make it boily and then eat it up.” Seth

“Grandma and grandpa shoot a turkey in one of the fields. One time my grandpa shot one to feed the cats. Then grandpa cooks the turkey on the stove in a big pan for 10 minutes. Grandma gets the plates and forks and napkins and gets what I want to drink and we eat.” Keeley

“Grandma and grandpa and me and my mom and my dad get a turkey from the forest. If it looks good to you, then you have to shoot it. My grandpa is a hunter and he usually shoots it. Then we put it in the oven on “cool and just fine”. The turkey can’t be poisoned so you have to check inside of it. We cut it open. Then we set it on the table and we eat it .. but the dog doesn’t get to eat it.. he gets something else .. dog food.” Taiylor

“My uncle has to shoot a turkey in my grandpa’s cornfield. Then, my grandma or my uncle have to pull off all the feathers. And then they give parts of it to the cats and my grandma puts the rest of it in the oven .. (but once it stunk so bad that they had to go shoot another one). When the oven beeps, Grandma puts the turkey in the freezer. Then she puts it in the oven again and we eat it for Thanksgiving.” Miah

“Grandma goes to K-mart and gets a turkey for $5.00. Then, she cooks it in the oven for 12 minutes until the timer beeps. Then we eat it. We save a little for another Thanksgiving.” Henry

“My mom gets the turkey but it comes from a real turkey out where we camp. Then we shoot it and cook it up. I think they just put it on a pan and fry it in some butter.” Collin

“My mom gets a turkey from the store. She looks at the legs and gets the one with the biggest legs. Then she puts it in the oven at 20 for 20 minutes. She puts some pepper on it and we eat it.” Jadyn

“You shoot a turkey and cut it up with a big knife into big pieces. Then you put it in a pan and you boil it in water and grease. Then you put it on a plate and cut it again into smaller pieces and you eat it.” Tyler

“My dad shoots a turkey out in the farm. The farmer tells him which one to shoot. Then, he takes it home and he bakes it in the oven at 60 degrees for two minutes. The turkey is done when it looks like turkey. Then we eat when my grandma comes.” Rylee

“I really just don’t know” Jimmie
