How to Accept a Clinical Instructor Position with the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing


This guide is intended to assist applicants with the process of using the LinkingHealthProfessionals (LHP) system to accept a Clinical Instructor position at the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing (LSBFON).

Offer Letter types are Stipends, Secondments and CUPE (for students only).

Please note that supported browsers for the LHP system are Internet Explorer 7+ and Firefox 3+.

If you are a student, for CUPE letter offers, if you accept the offer you also agree to the following:

“I confirm that I will be registered as a University of Toronto student or PDF on the date that this appointment begins. I understand that if I should cease to be registered as a University of Toronto student or PDF during the period of this appointment, for any reason other than convocation, I must immediately notify my supervisor, and my appointment may be terminated.”

Step 1: You will receive an email indicating you have a job offer. Follow the instructions and link providedand go step 6 in this document.

If you misplace the email, go to this link and you will be presented with this page:

Step 2:Enter your userid and password here, click on “Sign In”

Step 3: Note the options on the left menu will vary depending on your profile. “Applications” refers to system modules Click on “Applications” to open up a drop down list of possible system modules.

Step 4: Note the options on the left menu will vary depending on your profile. Select “CI Recruitment”.

Step 5: You will be presented with this screen. Click on “Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing”.

Step6: If you receive a job offer, click on “My Applications” to view the status of your applications.

Step 7: You can preview the offer letter before accepting it by clicking here.

Step 8: The letter below is an example of an offer letter that you can expect to receive. Please note this is an example of a CUPE letter. Stipend and Secondment letters will vary in content.

Step 9: Click here to accept or to decline the offer.

Step 10: Please note for CUPE offers only, if you accept the offer you are agreeing to the following:

“I confirm that I will be registered as a University of Toronto student or PDF on the date that this appointment begins. I understand that if I should cease to be registered as a University of Toronto student or PDF during the period of this appointment, for any reason other than convocation, I must immediately notify my supervisor, and my appointment may be terminated.”

The above does not apply for Stipend and Secondment letters.

Indicate if you are accepting the offer by selecting “Yes”. Don’t forget to click on the “Submit” button to complete the process.

Step 11: A thumbs up here indicates that you have accepted the offer on the date shown.

Step 12: Optional - If you view the offer, after accepting it online, you will see your name and the acceptance date directly on the offer letter as per this exampleof a CUPE letter. Similarly, you will see your name on accepted Stipend and Secondment letters.

Congratulations on your offer!

Step 13: Final Step - You can sign out of the LHP system by clicking on “Sign Out”.
