Housekeeper - Charlotte at Midtown

The Housekeeper works under the supervision of the Property Manager and the Service Manager to clean all vacant apartments. The Housekeeper details each unit cleaned, doing “touch-ups” to help make them ready for showing to prospective residents. Cleans other facilities on the property including the property office, laundry rooms, model units, the fitness center, the club house and also cleans public restrooms.
Reporting Relationships:
• The Housekeeper reports to the Property Manager with oversight from the Service Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Gets daily assignments of units to clean then gathers the necessary supplies and takes them to each assigned unit.
•Cleans vacant apartment thoroughly including: disinfecting appliances and bathrooms, soaking light fixtures, mopping floors, and cleaning all woodwork, appliances, windows, etc.
•May complete checklist to verify that all aspects of an apartment are clean.
•Inspects an apartment after completion for any items overlooked.
•Cleans model apartments to ensure they are neat, clean and in excellent shape for prospective residents.
•Cleans other property facilities, as instructed, on a rotating basis, including the office, laundry rooms, fitness center, and club house.
•Cleans public restrooms on the property as needed.
•May perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Required Skills
•Ability to lift moderate weights regularly
•Ability to perform difficult physical labor
•Ability to work in dirty environments with some noxious fumes from cleaning chemicals
•Knowledge of housecleaning methods
•Ability to follow detailed instructions
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of the Housekeeper, the employee is required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands and fingers to control objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs and ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. The employee must be able to lift 25 pounds individually and up to 35 pounds with assistance devices (dollies, hand trucks, additional persons). While performing the duties of this job the employee normally works primarily in an outdoor environment exposed to adverse weather conditions.
Required Experience
No experience required.Must be able to learn a standard way to clean apartments and facilities.Able to lift moderate weights regularly, to work in moderately difficult environments, and to perform physically difficult labor.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Past experience in housekeeping.
