House Rules & Regulations

  • Occupancy Restrictions: There is a limit to the number of occupants permitted to live within an apartment. Oakwood must be notified and approve of any potential visitors prior to their travel plans to ensure that state & city occupancy laws will not be violated. Failure to seek this approval may result in eviction.

A 1 bedroom apartment has a maximum occupancy of 2 adults.

A 2 bedroom apartment has a maximum occupancy of 4 adults.

  • Cookware: Place any and all hot pots, pans and/or dishes on the stove top or inside of the oven only. Placing these or any other hot items on the countertops, carpets or furniture may cause damage for which you will be held financially responsible.
  • Cooking: Be conscious of any items that you have cooking by attending to them at all times to avoid any accidents or injuries to your apartment or yourself.
  • Appliances: For proper maintenance and function of your kitchen appliances, you must wipe the stove/oven and other appliances after every each use with a cloth and warm, soapy water.
  • Electronics: Please refer to provided information inside of your apartment for all electronic items (TV, microwave, blender, phone, refrigerator, washing/drying machine, dish washer, etc). Should you have questions about the use and operation of any of these appliances, please call Oakwood.
  • Refuse/Recyclables: All refuse and recyclables must be removed from the apartment regularly and placed within the appropriate/marked disposal area(s).
  • Bathroom: Be mindful that your shower curtain(s) must be inside the tub/shower while the water is running. Failure to do so may cause water damage to the bathroom tile and walls for which you will be held financially responsible.
  • Dishwasher: Ensure that you are using the proper detergent in your automatic dishwashing machine. Using the incorrect type of detergent may result in flooding or damage to the appliance and/or apartment for which you will be held financially responsible.
  • Housekeeping: Housekeeping is provided to you once every week. This service is complimentary and is meant to assist you in keeping your apartment clean. Housekeepers will spend approximately 1 hour cleaning your apartment, depending upon the size, and will not move furniture or provide laundry services. Should additional cleaning need to be required, additional fess may apply for which you will be held financially responsible.
  • Utilities: Oakwood has furnished your apartment with cable television, local phone service and high-speed internet. Should you require additional services or upgrades, please contact Oakwood. Any additional services or upgrades to the package provided may incur additional costs for which you will be held financially responsible.
  • Departure: All refuse and recyclables must be removed from your apartment. All food items must be disposed of properly. Do not dispose of any kitchen house wares upon departure. Failure to follow the above instructions may result in additional fees for cleaning after your departure for which you will be held financially responsible.
  • Cleanliness: Guests will also be responsible for maintaining the property in a clean and respectful manner to prevent any damages and/or additional expenses for which you will be held financially responsible.
  • Community: Oakwood will be happy to set up a time for you to meet with the on-site associates of your new community to help familiarize you with the amenities and services available to you during your stay. Please call Oakwood should you require this.

I have read and understand the rules & regulations of Oakwood Temporary Housing. I understand that failure to adhere to these rules and regulations may result in additional charges for cleaning and/or the cost to replace items damaged including carpeting, countertops and furniture for which you will be held financially responsible.

I further understand that all dilapidations occurring during my occupancy, outside of normal wear and tear, will be my responsibility and the responsibility of HSBC.
