SANCTIONING ORGANIZATIONS: Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP)

HOST: Buckhorn Shooting Club (BSC).

RULES:Current National Standard Three-Position Air Rifle Rules will apply for this event. It is the responsibility of all range personnel, each competitor, and Coach to know and/or become familiar with these Rules. These can be viewed and/or downloaded through the CMP website.

ELIGIBILITY: Individuals (Rule 3.1) - Any person may compete in School Age Three-Position Air Rifle competitions until 31 August of the year in which they graduate from high school or the equivalent. There is no minimum age limit. Athletes who represent schools must meet the eligibility requirements of their school or school’s

governing organization. Athletes who graduate from school at mid-semester or during the current school year continue to be eligible to compete until 31 August following that school year.

Teams (Rule 3.2) - Teams must be made up offour individuals from the same school or club.

MEMBERSHIP: Each shootermust have a CMP number before entering competition. CMP numbers can be obtained through the CMP website. (

ENTRY FEES: Each individual shooter must pay $15.00 as an Entry Fee for competing. Team fee is an additional $10 per team. The Shooter’s Entry Fee and Team fees can be paid by a school, club, etc.

ENTRY INFORMATION: Determine if shooting Sporter or Precision & the relay time then email theContact below to be placed on the RELAY sheet. A shooter cannot shoot both guns at this event anywhere.

CLASSIFICATION: (Rule 3.4.3) The following classification system will be used for awards.

J1: Athletes who reach their 17th or 18th birthday in the calendar year of the competition or who are older than 18 and

still meet the eligibility criteria for School Age athletes (see Rule 3.1.1).

J2: Athletes who reach their 15th or 16th birthday in the calendar year of the competition.

J3: Athletes who will not reach their 15th birthday in the calendar year of thecompetition.

COURSE OF FIRE:See chart under Rule 5.3.3 - Individual Event, 3x20 only.

RELAY TIMES:9am & 12pm

SCORING:All scoring will be done with the Orion Scoring System.

TIME LIMITS: Rule 5.3.3 (chart).Individual Event, 3x20 only.

EQUIPMENT: Rules are under 4.0 of the current rule book.

DISTANCE: 10 meters

TARGETS: Orion Air Rifle

COACHING: Competitors, coaches, family members, etc. must become familiar with the Rules that apply to the class the competitor intends to participate in.

CHALLENGES:Determined by the Orion Scoring System – $1.00 per bull.

TIES: See Rule 8.6

AWARDS:

CMP– Gold, Silver, & Bronze medallions will be awarded for Overall winners per individuals & teams. Excellence In Competition (EIC) points will, also, be awarded by CMP.

BSC– First place awards will be given in each class & additional place awards will be given in each class per five competitors.

DIRECTIONS TO RANGE:

ROSENBERG – 1402 Band Rd – Take State Hwy 36 going south from U.S. Hwy 59. Fort Bend County Fairground’s is about a mile on the right from 59. Range is indoors just past large arena (on the left while facing arena). There is a short street (Arena Dr.) just past blinking yellow lights on the right off of 36. Turn right then turn left at stop sign. There will be a parking lot in front of you & turn right before entering lot. The indoor range building will be straight ahead (about 100 yds). Registration is inside.
