Accountability:HOPES Homeless Resource Center Manager

Status:Full Time/ Part Time

Purpose: To provide casework for guests utilizing the Resource Centerand supportfor the overall operation of the Resource Center

Qualifications:

Minimumof Associates degree or equivalent experience in Human Services/Social Work

Committed Christian with a good understanding and ability to practically apply Biblical principles and standards

Exercise judgment/offer advice that is consistent with Jubilee Ministries mission statement, core values, standards, practices, policies, procedures and regulation of laws

Measurable interpersonal skills

Ability to organize and prioritize work

Teachable and interested in increasing professional competency

Duties:

  1. To evaluate each individual’s eligibility for entry into the Emergency Shelter.

Achieved when each individual completes background checks and screeningwith caseworker.

  1. To assess the needs of each guest.

Achieved upon intake when a Bio-Psycho-Social Assessment is completed with each individual.

  1. To review guidelines and expectations for Resource Center (RC) and Emergency Shelter (ES).

Achieved when RC Guest Agreement and ES Social Contract is reviewed with guest and signed.

  1. To process entrance to overnight shelter.

Achieved when new guestis added to registration sheet and shelter list.

  1. To outline a plan with assigned HOPES guests.

Achieved when a Goal Plan is created in collaboration witheach guest.

  1. To make appropriate referrals and connections with other human service agencies.

Achieved when guestsare given referrals and appointments are made with appropriate agencies. Caseworkers will maintain regular contact with other human service agencies.

  1. To facilitate and engage guests in ongoing casework.

Achieved when weekly meetings are held with guests to monitor progress on Goal Plan.

  1. To assist in the implementation of RC Policies

Achieved whenguests follow the Guest, Family and ES policies as agreed upon during intake.

  1. To assist in the operation of the RC when needed.

Achieved when demonstrating flexibility to meet the needs of guests including adequate coverage of the milieu and using de-escalation and problem-solving skills as needed.

  1. To assist in the training and ongoing work of volunteers.

Achieved when volunteers are trained in theirduties and supported during their volunteer hours.

  1. Be part of staff meetings and team building.

Achieved when arriving on time to meetings and actively participating in discussions.
