SUMMARY

To provide administrative and bookkeeping assistance to the company controller by performing the following duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain banking processes for HRD. Included are the following: electronic fund transfers for FET’s and vendors, and Washington Business and Operations taxes, daily checkbook responsibilities and general ledger entries.
  • Perform accounts receivable function, including maintaining and reconciling accounts receivable balances and applying payments.
  • Backup the accounts payable process including entry and check runs. Help to maintain accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.
  • Participate in the preparation of various financial reports, sales projection reports, charts, etc.
  • Prepare and reconcile inventory accounts.
  • Maintain standard costs with input from Materials. Perform cost roll ups.
  • Investigate and research inventory and work order variances.
  • Monthly reconcile inventory, sales and receivables and generate reports for distribution to our “customers” for which we are brokers (44 North and Cuervo)
  • Input and reconcile entries to the general ledger.
  • Backup processing payroll.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university or a minimum of five years related experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, co-workers, vendors and customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts to practical applications.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems in several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job an individual must have knowledge of the following software: accounting, database, Internet, inventory, order processing, payroll, spreadsheet, and word processing
