Math Intervention

This course is designed to prepare students for their core math classes by giving them more one-on-one attention with important skills that they need to know. This course will provide students with the opportunity to find out what their strengths and weaknesses are within the Math content area.

Course Procedures:

Attendance: Students are expected to attend all class meetings. Students are expected to arrive to class on time and be prepared to begin class immediately when the bell rings. Students will be given a copy of the bell schedule to keep with them at all times. This removes all possibilities for being late to class.

Make Up Work: If a student misses a class period, it is their responsibility to get the work they missed (notes). If a student misses an assignment, it is his or her responsibility to get that assignment from me. If a student misses a test or quiz, it is his or her responsibility to schedule a time to make that test or quiz up.

Class Rules: 1: Be prepared for class! 2. Be respectful of the building, other students, and the teacher. 3. Be responsible. 4. Participate in all class activities.

Class Participation: All students are expected to participate in all class activities. Participation can range from asking questions, discussion with a partner, or group assignments.

Grade Scale: This is a Pass/Fail class.

Tests/Quizzes: All tests and quizzes will be announced.

Extra Credit:THERE IS NO EXTRA CREDIT IN THIS CLASS!!!!

Cell Phones:CELL PHONES ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THIS CLASS!!!!

Calculators: CALCULATORS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THIS CLASS!!!!

Daily Schedule: Most days begin with a bell ringer. Group work will be a main part of this class.

Daily Dismissal: Students are not dismissed by the bell. Students are dismissed by the teacher.
