Honor’s Biology Reading Assignment
2011-2010
Mrs. Johnson

Assignment:

Part One:
Read two of the approved science books off the list (one fiction, one non-fiction) that you have not previously read. You will need to have the first book assignment turned in prior to Christmas break. Your second one will be due near the end of the school year (specific date will be provided later).

Part Two:
Find a scientific study about the type of science your book choice highlighted. IDDP THIS IN MIND WHEN CHOOSING YOUR BOOK, some are easier to find a study than others.

Guidelines for Research Article:

  1. It must be done within the last two years
  2. The research must have been done by a university or other research institution
  3. There must be a control group and an experimental group
  4. There must be an independent variable ( the difference between the control group and the experimental group)
  5. There must be a dependent variable (something being measured)
