First Grade News: We are reading many non-fiction stories about animals and discussing the main idea and details. We are beginning our science unit on butterflies. We now have tiny caterpillars that we will observe and record information as we watch them go through the life cycle to become butterflies. We will read many non-fiction butterfly stories to go along with our science unit. In math, we are learning how to read and make picture graphs, bar graphs, tally marks and tally charts. We use the charts to answer questions about the information that we recorded.

·  We could use more glue sticks and No. 2 yellow sharpened pencils to use until the end of the year.
