First Grade News: This week we will be reading a biography about a man named Tomas Rivera. We will learn that a biography is a story written about a real person’s life. We will also be focusing on characters and being able to retell a story. Ask your child to retell the stories you read at home. They should include setting, characters, beginning, middle and end. In math, we will be starting Unit 5. Please remember to read the Unit 5 Family Letter that comes home to see what your child will be learning in this unit and the math vocabulary words we will be using.
