Advantages of e-learning

  • Save time and money training staff – no need to release staff to attend a full day’s training
  • Easy access- staff can take courses at a convenient time and place – anywhere with internet access
  • Staff can work at their own pace
  • Ideal for induction and refresher learning – staff can re-take a course anytime
  • Flexible– staff should aim to complete a course in one session, but if interrupted, next time staff log in the website will remember where they left off, and will ask if one wants to resume there, or start again.
  • Blended learning is a great way to combine using e-learning alongside group discussion e.g. discuss the subject in a team meeting after the e-learning.
  • Time spent by managers to support staff will be an investment, saving time and money once e-learning is embedded in your organisation
