POLICY TITLE: POLICY AWARENESS

Policy STATEMENT

The Executive Director is responsible for administering and disseminating the policies of the Agency.

All policies and forms of the Agency will be available to all staff on computer in Group Wise, and a hard copy of relevant policies will be printed for Board members and placed in their orientation binder. Staff members are responsible for reading and understanding policies. Board members are responsible for reading and understanding board policies contained in their individual orientation board packages.

Supervisor’s Role

Supervisors will ensure:

i)Staff have received training in order to access that the Human Resources Policies and Procedures in Groupwise and have regular access to an HCSS computer terminal;

ii)that current staff have signed a Policy Awareness Form (Form HR-9) confirming that they have read and understood the Agency’s Policies and Procedures;

iii)that new staff will be made aware of the Agency’s Policies and Procedures as part of their orientation, and will be required to sign a Policy Awareness Form confirming that they have read and understood them;

Changes

The Executive Director will communicate via e-mail any changes made to the Human Resources Policies. It will be the responsibility of the supervisors to ensure that staff is updated regarding these changes.
