Programme of Activities Throughout The School
Artwork, Flags of the European Union, Basic French & Spanish& Learn Our Lady’s Prayer in Irish.
All classes will try to focus on basic vocabulary of EAL children in their class eg. Numbers 1-10. Common everyday vocabulary eg. Hello, goodbye, friends, days of the week, songs etc.
KS2 children will be given the opportunity to watch videos and engage in interactive computer programs – allowing them to experience some aspects of living in countries throughout Europe.

St Mary’s Grammar School
A group of St Mary’s Grammar School drama and language students will visit Year 6 & 7 classes to teach our pupils French.
Tuesday 24th September 2014
Vanessa Brodie from the North Eastern Board will teach Spanish song and rhyme to Year 3, 4 and 5.
St Pius X College Students
A selection of our Primary 7 year group will visit St Pius X College and work with the drama and language departments to participate in a French quiz and breakfast.
Wednesday 25th September 2014
Key Stage 1 assembly performed by Mrs McDermott P4C.
St Mary’s Grammar School
St Mary’s students will visit P3 for Spanish, P4 for German and P5 for Irish.
Thursday 26th September 2014
School Mass in The Church of the Assumption at 11am with procession of flags.
Rainey Endowed Students
A selection of Primary 7 students will visit the Rainey Endowed to participate in French activities.
