Holiday Parties & Can Drive!
We cannot believe it is that time of year already, but classroom holiday parties will be on Thursday, December 18th! Teachers at each grade level will send home specific information prior to the date. I do want to share ageneral reminder we will not be doing any gift exchanges at school. Our students will also be involved in our annual food drive for the local food pantry. We will begin collecting food items on Monday, December 15th and end on Thursday the 18th by taking the items to food pantry. Canned food items may be dropped off at Washington anytime that week. .Items most needed are canned juice, peanut butter, canned fruits & soups, canned spaghetti sauce, canned meats such as tuna, boxes of cereal, jello, Mac n Cheese, & muffin mix. Please only bring cans or boxes of food – no glass or bag items. Our building goal will be 300 food items and we will celebrate when we reach our goal! The November and December Student Advisory students will organize their classroom and help me take the food items to the food pantry the last week of school. If you have questions about the can drive, please contact the school.
