General Info:

  • Family Promise has access to the facility starting at 2:00 pmFriday, April 30ththru 11:00 pm
  • We will also have washing stations set up for hand washing.
  • Restrooms will be available
  • We will have ice available ($10.00 / per bag)for our sponsors to keep food cool (not for refreshment use)
  • A Trash Dumpster will be available during entire event
  • There will beour MC / DJ for the evening, Live and Silent Auction and games forthe night of the event
  • Wristbands will be distributed to each sponsor prior to the week of the event

Cooking Pen Info:

  • Cooking Pen space is40‘x40’ (four parking spaces)- A map of assigned booths will be available.
  • You will need to bring your generators!
  • We will be providing two 8 foot tables to each sponsor. If you would like to have more tables for your cooking pen we will be happy to reserve them and have them delivered to the site. The cost will be $10 per table. For extra tables & chairs see “Table & Chair reservation” form.
  • Please bring your own chairs for use within your cooking pen
  • Other supplies you will need:

Fire extinguisher –required

Coolers-refreshments for your guests

Small paper plates, forks & napkins for sampling portions

Serving utensils and trays

Your company’s banner /signage for the fence behind your cooking pen & lighting

Judging/ Competition Info:

  • A six chef judging team will start judging at 1:30 pm Winners in the following categories will be announced at 6:30 pm:

Best Pork BBQ Best Chicken BBQ Best OPEN Category

Best BBQ Sauce “Best Dressed Pen”Best Beans Category

  • “Boss Hog”Award 2016: This award will be judged by the popular vote! For every dollar you collect in your Boss Hog Bucket….is a vote for your Pig Pen! The Pen with the most collected in their bucket will determine the overall best food/theme/team Spirit. This winner will be announced right before we announce the winner of the Truck / Bike!

Cooking Pen Ideas:

  • Themes could be simple as a country BBQ or a favorite sports team.
  • Some teams are making aprons, hats or T shirts for their cooking team. Sponsors are encouraged to use our Chicks & Hogs Logo* or their own corporate logo.
  • Don’t forget to plan to use your company signage in the decorating of your cooking pen.
