VIDEO CONVERSION and MOVIE MAKER
MovieMaker – Save project file and save the VIDEO (.wmv) file to play
1. When finished with the project, you must SAVE PROJECT and CREATE the MOVIE.
2. You should have at least 2 files saved for movie maker projects – an audio/image file and the movie (.wmv) file. SAVE TO H DRIVE (or else you may never find again)
3. If you add voice narration, a narration audio file will be created and needs to be saved as well. SAVE TO H DRIVE (or else you will never find it again)
4. ALL FILES MUST BE SAVED TO THE SAME LOCATION ON YOUR H DRIVE. (Hint: Create a folder for each project and keep all files there.)
5. To save:
* To save project files, go to FILE à Save project as à save to H drive
* To save movie (this must be done or the movie will not play – this should be done only when the entire project is finished)
à On the movie maker screen, under #3 (Finish Movie)
à Save to My Computer
à #1 – Name the movie
à #2 - Save to your H Drive

Converting online Videos to .wmv files
1. Find video file – get URL and go to www.keepvid.com
* from home, find a video on youtube.com and then use keepvid.com to download the video
* from school, use google video or another online video, copy URL and go to keepvid.com to download the video
2. To convert the video – WinFF
* go to winff.org and download winff at home and save to a flashdrive
3. Use converter
* follow directions to convert video to WMV file, a file type that can be edited by movie maker
