During the early years of curling at Lennoxville only onesheet of ice could be used for Club competitions eachnight as the other was reserved for scratch Matches.

During the 1948-49 season the Club was honoured by avisit from the Scottish Curlers who, at that time, werevisiting the United States and Canada. Curlers fromGranby and Sherbrooke were invited to join in thefestivities and were entertained at lunch served by themen's committee. This was followed by curling in theafternoon when, true to their tradition of skill in theancient game, the Scots won four of the six gamesplayed.

Throughout the first quarter century of curling theLennoxville Club entered rinks in nearly all Branch Competitions, winning more than their share in the districtbut each time losing out in Montreal.

In 1956-57 two rinks skipped by J. S. Hamilton and R.Mooney entered the competition for the GovernorGeneral'sTrophy, and this time the luck changed. SkipsHamilton and Mooney won their games in Montreal, wenton to Ottawa and posted the win for the coveted Trophy.

The Lennoxville Curling Club was formed in 1923 andit wasn't long before a group of interested ladies met todiscuss the forming of a ladies' curling club. On December11th, 1931, 13 ladies met in the Institute Rooms at theTown Hall to discuss the matter - and so the Ladies'Lennoxville Curling Club came to be. Mrs. G. Forbes waselected the first President, Mrs. T. Burton, Vice-President,and Miss Doreen Stewart, Secretary-Treasurer, Mrs.R. S. Clarke, convener of the match committee, to beassisted by Mrs. Homer White and Mrs. Lee Watson.A tea committee was formed with Mrs. L. V. Parent asConvenor.
