Test Scenario / Manager’s Manager
A staff member will be issued a performance workplan at the start of the performanceyear. The performance workplan will contain organisational objectives, issues by RMIT, but all other objectives should be completed by the staff member, with agreement from the manager. Once these objectives have been agreed with the manager, staff members will need to monitor their progress throughout the year, with a formal Mid Year and year End Review with the manager.
There are 3 phases to in the Performance cycle:
-Objective setting
-Mid year Review
-Year End Review
Each phase contains 3 steps:
-Staff member self evaluation
-Manager review and comments/edits, after which it can be returned to the staff member for edits or confirmation (this can occur multiple times)
-Staff Member edits
-Staff member confirmation, after which the Performance profile moves into the next phase
At any stage, a manager’s manager will have “display access” to their direct team, as well as the direct reports of their reports (up to a maximum of three levels).

4 / Click on Performance Management / Two options are displayed, MSS Performance profile and Team Objectives cascading

5 / Click on Performance Workplans to view your teams Performance Profiles
/ The Employee documents screen is displayed.
You can search for a specific staff member, or select a specific tab to view staff members at different stages in the process.
6 / Search for staff members using the Employee –click on the drop down button / A drop down list is displayed.
/ Select Manager’s manager
7 / Click Apply / A list of the staff members selected will be displayed, if you have the correct authorization to see them
/ Always ensure that this field has a value of Indirect appraisees or All when suing any of the other search options.
8 / Search for employees using the Appraisal Template field
by clicking on
Tip: Ensure that the Employee field still contains a value; either All or Manager’s manager / A search field is displayed.
/ Delete all entries, and click the Start Search button

9 / Click OK / A selection list of the 4 available templates is displayed.

10 / Click one of the templates and select OK
/ The template is now inserted in the field.

11 / Select the Apply button / The table will display staff members who are within your authorization profile, who are linked to the specific template.
12 / Click Apply / A list of the staff members selected will be displayed, if you have the correct authorization to see them

13 / Search for staff members using the Personnel Number field –click on the search field.
Tip: Ensure that the Employee field still contains a value; either All or Manager’s manager / A pop up box with further search selections is displayed.

14 / Search by name, surname or click on More search help to change your search options.
Click OK once you have entered information to refine your search.
Eg: Personnel number, user number, / Possible matches are displayed.

15 / Select the staff member details and click OK / The staff member number is now in the field.

16 / Select additional staff members by clicking on next to the Personnel number field. / A pop up box is displayed where you are able to list additional numbers, or search for additional numbers.
/ Search for additional personnel numbers by clicking in a blank field and clicking on the search function (similar to previous search steps)
17 / Click OK / The staff member numbers are now in the field.

18 / Click Apply / A list of the staff members selected will be displayed, if you have the correct authorization to see them

19 / Export the list to excel by clicking on / A box up box with directions for saving to excel is displayed.

20 / Select one of the staff members, by clicking on the performance workplan name / A new window is opened displaying the Performance Workplan in it’s current stage.
Note: For staff members who have not yet sent “agreed” their objectives with their line manager, only their landing page will be viewed. / Close the window to return to the Employee Document page
Viewing the information on the form

2 / Scroll to the end of the page and click on the Click on the Administration Data button / Your personal details should be viewed, such as Status, Substatus, manager name and Staff member.

3 / Click on the button to see more information. / A new window is opened with information such as staff number, position details, annual leave entitlement.
/ Close the window to return to the Performance Workplan
4 / Click on the Position description button / If no position description exists, a message should be viewed in a new window.

If a position description does exist, you will see the PD itself. / Close the window to return to the Performance Workplan
5 / Click on the Attachments button / A new window opens to Google, where you will be able to sign in and upload documents post Janaury / Close the window to return to the Performance Workplan
6 / Click on the Additional information button / A new window opens linking you to the RMIT website/MyPerformance MyCareer website. / Close the window to return to the Performance Workplan
7 / Click on the Action Log button / A new window opens, displaying details of any changes made to the form, and who made them.
/ Close the window to return to the Performance Workplan
8 / Click on every tab to view the information agreed.
