The school attendance lines would've been delineated from a mix of our parcel (primary) and street centerline (secondary) layers at the time.

Hi Bo,
I suppose the only specific question that I have is what geographic features your county used to delineate school attendance boundaries. For example, did you use the Census Bureau’s TIGER/Line features, local center-line features or local cadastral/parcel data, etc.

Thank you for your reply. We are building a national database of school attendance boundaries for use in scholarly research. The project is called the School Attendance Boundary Information System (SABINS).
We have collected digital GIS data for the entire states of MN (the state puts their shapefiles online for download), DE and OR. We have also collected digital GIS data for 120 or so of the largest school districts in the country and would like to include Berkeley County in our database.
All of the entities that share their digital GIS data with us will be able to obtain an updated file that is integrated with the Common Core of Data and the American Community Survey.
