Hershey Park Final Itinerary

5:15 a.m. – Arrive at SRMS and load buses

5:45 a.m. – Depart from SRMS

9:00 a.m. – Arrive at Grandview Heights Academy and unload buses

9:10 a.m. – Band Prepare for Warm Up

9:20 a.m. – Band Warm Up in designated area

9:40 a.m. – 8th Grade Band Performs

9:40 a.m.- Orchestra Warm Up in designated area

10:00 a.m.- 8th Grade Orchestra Performs

10:00 a.m.- Guitar Warm Up in designated area

10:20 a.m.- 8th Grade Guitar Performs

10:40 a.m. - Load Instruments back on bus.

10:50 a.m. – Change clothes to Navy Blue Golf Shirt (or Hershey Park Trip Shirt) and shorts/jeans

11:00 a.m. - Buses leave for Hershey Park

****Lunch on the bus to Hershey Park (Bring Bag Lunch)

11:30 a.m. - Buses arrive at Hershey Park

11:45 a.m.-7:45 pm - Enjoy Park! (in groups of no smaller than four).

7:50 p.m. - Meet at front of park (rendezvous point will be next to a cow statue just outside of the ticket entrance) to exit park and head to buses together!

Attendance will be taken before heading to buses!

8:00 p.m. – Load buses and depart from Hershey Park

Attendance will be taken on buses before leaving!

Approx. 11:15-11:30 p.m. – Return to SRMS and unload bus.

Each student needs to bring the following items:

·  Wear on bus to Hershey Park – Blue SRMS Polo Shirt black pants for performance

·  Instruments, music, reeds, valve oil, etc.

·  Wear music department Golf Shirt (or Hershey Park T-Shirt) and jeans (or shorts if warmer weather/ Clean and neat, no baggy pants) for AFTER performance.

·  Snack for bus ride

·  Bag lunch to eat after the performance.

·  Money – Suggest $25-$30 for food and spending money for the day

·  Absolutely no bathing suits will be allowed.

Chaperone Duties:

·  The buddy system will be implemented all day! (Students in groups of 4 or more at all times)

·  Parents will assist in keeping students calm on the bus ride to and from the performance, park, and back to Seneca.

·  Parents will be assigned a specific group of students to be responsible for throughout the day.

·  SRMS students and chaperones will exhibit appropriate and respectful behavior towards all other schools and participants.

·  SRMS students will respect and follow directions that any parent or teacher gives.

·  Chaperones are responsible for making sure their group of students are aware of the schedule and the respective rendezvous points for the entire day.
