AZA Trivial Pursuit

Materials

Several Trivial Pursuit sets, approximately one for every six participants

Object of the Game

To collect all six colored wedge-shaped pieces.

Set-up

A Trivial Pursuit board is set up as usual. There should be three teams at a board with two people per team, hopefully an older member (Aleph) paired with a newer member (AIT). One moderator, someone who is running the event, will be the judge for each game.

Procedure

The team with the newest AIT goes first. That team’s AIT rolls first. He may move according to regular Trivial Pursuit rules. Then, according to what color space he lands on, the moderator will ask him, and only him, a question. If he gets the question correct, then he gets the corresponding wedge-shaped piece to add to his “pie”, whether he is on a small or a large space*. If he does not answer the question correctly, then he does not get the piece**. If he answers a question correctly from a category that he already has the piece for, then he gets to go again. The same procedure is done with each team, with the AITs only answering the questions the first time around. Then, the second time around, only the Alephs answer the questions. This continues, trading off between AITs and Alephs until one team has all six colored pieces.

The moderator is the final judge on everything.

*This is not the same as regular Trivial Pursuit rules.

**Other players from other teams may answer the question if one player gets it wrong, but only for fun. They cannot receive any wedge-shaped pieces for answering other teams’ questions.
