On June 23 2017 Tatiana Melnychenko will sing the role of Abigail at the premier of a new production of Nabucco at the Arena di Verona.

Her recent engagements include Metropolitan Opera in New York and Staatsoper Hamburg.Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, Gran Teatre del Liceo in Barcelona, Royal Opera de Wallonie in Liege.

Earlier engagementsincluded Arena di Verona (with Plácido Domingo), Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv, L’opera de Montreal, Greek National Opera in Athens.

The period from 1996 to 2005 was a time of great success for Tatiana Melnychenko at highly prestigious international singing competitions – she won the ones in Toulouse, France (Grand Prix), “Julián Gayarre” in Pamplona, Spain (1st Prize), received by world famous tenor Jose Carreras; Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic (1st Prize), Verviers, Belgium (2nd Prize), “A. Fernández Carriedo” of the Guerrero Foundation (1st Prize) and “Francisco Alonso” (1st Prize), both in Madrid.

The Ukrainian soprano Tatiana Melnychenko began her artistic career in the Opera Theatre of Odessa – a city of great operatic tradition.In 2000 the Spanish tenor Alfredo Kraus chose her for the singing department of the Queen Sofia School of Music in Madrid where she stayed to completed her training with renowned mezzo-soprano Teresa Berganza.

Born in Maribor, she began her career as a mezzosoprano and debuted at the Maribor National Theater as Clotilde in Norma di V.Bellini. In 2011 she goes to the soprano repertoire and performs in numerous concerts and recitals. In 2012 she debuted in Un Ballo in maschera by G.Verdi at Teatro Regio in Turin and debuted in Cavalleria Rusticana by P.Mascagni at the Terni Festival. In March 2013 he sings Massa di Requiem by G.Verdi at the Maribor National Theater and in 2014 he debuts at G.Verdi's Nabucco at the Como Festival and sing Aida by G.Verdi as Amneris in Tokyo. In 2015 she debuts in La Fanciulla del West at Maribor’s T.N, sing Nabucco at Teatro Greco di Taormina and debut in Les Vesprea Siciliennes at T. N. in Maribor. In 2016 she debuted in Turandot by G. Puccini at T.N. Maribor and Manon Lescaut of G.Puccini at the Zagreb National Theater and sing Turandot at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago. In 2017 she debuts in Madama Butterfly by G.Puccini at Teatro Coccia Novara and in Il Trovatore at the Maribor National Theater.

Soprano

She was born in Naples and began her vocal studies at the Musical Institute of Valle d'Aosta. She graduated at the Conservatory "G. Verdi" with soprano Silvana Moyso and attended masterclasses with Daniela Dessi, Mirella Freni, Luciana D'Intino, Rockwell Blake and Sylvie Valayre. First prize winner of the «Mattia Battistini»contest in Rieti (Italy).

Her career started in 2007 when was selected by As.Li.Co. for a concert of Verdi's .

He debuted the role of Abigail in NABUCCO for the Trentino Opera Festival at the Teatro Cantero Chiavari under the baton of of Stephen Giaroli, at Teatro Girolamo Magnani in Fidenza, at the Teatro Comunale di Carpi, the Opera Theatre of Ljubljana and, recently, at the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari under the baton of M° Donato Renzetti.

She also debuted in the role of Amelia in UN BALLO IN MASCHERA at the Teatro Regio in Turin with the direction of M° Renato Palumbo.

She debuted the role of TOSCA in the theaters of Asti, Biella, Stresa, Aosta and Sanremo with the Italian Philharmonic Orchestra, she sang Leonora in IL TROVATORE at Derby Theatre in Milan and the Countess in LE NOZZE DI FIGARO at Theatre Superga and Theatre Giuseppe Giacosa in Aosta with the Symphonic Orchestra of Valle d'Aosta, conducted by M° Emmanuel Siffert; she is Desdemona in Verdi's OTELLO in Aosta, Biella, Asti and Sanremo, and AIDA at the Teatro Cantero in Chiavari and the Teatro Comunale in Carpi.

A versatile artist also successfully addresses to the modern repertoire, playing the role of Butterfly in the new opera by Bruno Oddenino MISTER PINKERTON, with libretto by Chicca Morone and the Cerretum orchestra conducted by M° Aldo Salvagno, premiered at the Cathedral of Cirié. She also performed in the title role of G. Bertolani's ANGELICA at the Teatro Valli in Reggio Emilia and recently in SAFFO, UNA DONNA FUORI DAL TEMPO by Sergio Merletti at the "G. Verdi" Conservatory in Turin.

Intense also her concert activity: invited by the Chinese delegation in collaboration with the Conservatory "G. Verdi" in Turin she was conducted by M° Liu Ming in a concert with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra at the Shenzhen Concert Hall, China. She made her debut at the Teatro Verdi in Busseto with a recital of arias by Verdi alongside Ambrogio Maestri.

Recently she sang Lady Macbeth in MACBETH at Teatro Comunale in Bologna and Piacenza, NABUCCO in Tel Aviv, Valencia, Las Palmas and Mahon, CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA and PAGLIACCI at Sferisterio in Macerata, NABUCCO at the Arena di Verona and Piacenza, AIDA in Turin, I DUE FOSCARI at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, IL TROVATORE at Covent Garden in London and at Sferisterio Opera in Macerata, ANDREA CHENIER in San Francisco and Bilbao.

Among the upcoming engagements include MACBETH in Turin, NORMA in Bilbao, MACBETH and AIDA in Madrid, MANON LESCAUT in Liege, NABUCCO and TURANDOT in Munich.

Susanna Branchini, born in Rome to Italian father and Caribbean mother, graduates with honors at the F. Morlacchi Music Conservatory in Perugia, and then participates successfully in many international competitions: she’s finalist in both Toulouse and As.Li.Co. and wins the Mattia Battistini contest. In 2002 she debuts at Teatro dell’Opera in Rome asMicaelainCarmen, soon followed byLiùinTurandotandMimìinLa Bohème.

Her fast vocal evolution allowes her to approach quickly a more incisive repertoire, as Verdi’s heroines, going fromAida,TrovatoreandDon Carloto thesoprano drammatico d’agilitàroles such asOdabellainAttilaandLadyinMacbeth(in which she just opened the Season 2012/13 at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona), characters that show her artistic temperament and her acting skills.

Susanna Branchini feels comfortable both in psychological deepness of Puccini’s lyricism ofTosca,Madama Butterfly,TabarroandSuor Angelicaand in “verismo” repertoire where she can range fromPagliaccitoCavalleria rusticana.
