Henkel employees volunteer their time to over 10 charitable organizations throughout the Valley

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.,Nov. 19,2014- On Friday, Nov. 21, Henkel Consumer Goods Inc. is offering employees the gift of holiday giving with its company-wide Community Service Day. The makers of well-known consumer brands in North America, including Dial® soaps, Purex® laundry detergents, Renuzit® air fresheners and Right Guard® antiperspirants, continues this company tradition with employees volunteering their time at12different charitable organizations across the Valley.

To build on the good will in the community, Henkel employees began this tradition of service in 2008 when the company moved to its new headquarters in Scottsdale, Ariz. Since then, the company has continued this tradition by reserving a day during the holidays for community service. Since 2008, employees have donated more than 4,500volunteer hours for this special event in the community. Employees will head in all directions across the Valley to volunteer in various capacities such as wrapping presents, sorting clothes, gardening, assembling supplies and cleaning up mountain trails.

“The day of service provides a way for employees to work together with their colleagues in a meaningful and special way,” said Joel Clark, head of Human Resources for Henkel Consumer Goods. “Volunteering unites all of us, and we are a company that gives back to our community during a season of giving and throughout the year.”

Henkel employees will volunteer their time this year at Arizona Helping Hands, Fresh Start Women’s Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, St. Mary’s Food bank and more.
