HEMISPHERE CHALLENGE
The purpose of this challenge is to learn more about Guiding around the world, focusing on one of the hemispheres of WAGGGS at a time. Countries of the Hemispheres:

Girl Guides of Canada – Alberta Council - Hemisphere Challenge Created by the Alberta International Committee Fall 2010
For each hemisphere, earn a portion of the crest that will form together to be the map of the hemispheres. For the hemisphere chosen, that part of the map will be coloured and the border will match, and there will be 5 crests in total.
Sparks/Brownies:Do 3 of the following:
- On a map of the world, colour the countries belonging to that hemisphere.
- Learn the promise for 1 other country in that hemisphere. Learn what your age level is called in that country and 5 interesting facts about that country.
- Find out when they became a member country and one WAGGGS project they are supporting or are the recipients of
- Find a new and creative way to support the CWFF which is committed to helping through WAGGGS projects, the goal is $5 per registered member
- Learn a new game, do a craft and make a new recipe from a country in that hemisphere (see supplement for ideas or use your own).
Guides/Pathfinders/Rangers:Do 3 of the following:
For each hemisphere
- Match the following countries to their hemisphere
- Learn the promise and law for 3 different countries in that hemisphere. Learn what your age level is called in those countries and 5 interesting facts about those countries.
- Find out when they became a member country and one WAGGGS project they are supporting or are the recipients of
- Find a new and creative way to support the CWFF which is committed to helping through WAGGGS projects, the goal is $5 per registered member
- Compare the cost of a meal, average wage, clothes, schooling in 1 country in that hemisphere and Canada
- Learn a new game, do a craft and make a new recipe from a country in that hemisphere (see supplement for ideas).
