Hello fellow Emirates pilot,

We are Aircrew Protection International and would like to introduce you to a truly unique product offered by Emirates pilots like yourself, at a cost far lower than what a normal insurance company could provide for a benefit no normal insurance company could possibly offer. Since its inception in 2006 our numbers have grown, our commitments to the highest standards of ethics, professional conduct and transparency have also increased and this has allowed us to build successful long-term relationships within the Emirates pilot group.

We realize that you have a variety of choices to guard against the unforeseen loss of your Class I Medical. Here are some points to consider:

·  The Aircrew Protection International benefits include 25,000 dirham (increasing at 3% / year to 35,000 dirham) / month until your 65th birthday in the event you lose your GCAA Class I Medical Certificate and are terminated by Emirates as a pilot for medical reasons. In addition, $100,000 life insurance for you (extendable to $500,000),$50,000 for your spouse, fiancé or life partneralong with $50,000 legal insurance in the event you are involved in an incidentwhile acting as flight crew (a very real possibility in some of the areas we operate!). As a new member, you get twelve months for the cost of eleven, with the twelfth free and credited to you at the end of your first year as a member.

·  Aircrew Protection International loss of income protection is a non-profit “Mutual Benefit” fund set up by Emirates pilots for Emirates pilots.

·  Because we have no involvement with insurance companies or brokers we can offer you a far superior product in terms of benefits at a rate no insurance company could hope to match.

·  If you resign / retire from Emirates you also receive a percentage of your contributions back (up to 30%)! Why do we do this when no insurance company ever would? Because we, like you, are Emirates pilots and we’re only here to help you.

·  The Aircrew Protection International Protection Fund, which totals over 23 million dirham, is held in a trust, regulated by the Guernsey (UK) Financial Services Commission and every API member becomes a beneficiary of that trust. The Trustees solicit advice and consultation from Capt Garrie Don (A380), Capt Darwin Triggs (DCP Boeing) and Capt Peter Davis (B777), all active Emirates pilots who dedicate their time to ensure API remains strong, healthy and continues to grow. The Rules of the plan are available on our website at www.aircrewprotection.org in both English and Arabic.

·  We are teamed with Harvey Watt & Co (USA) as your medical advisory and advocacy group. This allows the Trustee to maintain its independence from medical decisions regarding the beneficiaries of the Trust (the members). Harvey Watt & Co manages pilot group health services for most North American airlines, including; American Airlines, Delta, United, JetBlue, Air Canada, US Airways, FedEx, UPS and many more.

·  Our accounts are audited annually by Fuller International, Dubai Accountants, a licensed and registered audit firm in the UAE.

·  Membership fees are kept low. Monthly contributions are only 395 dirham and should you decide to join, you will be fully covered by API upon receipt of your 1st subscription payment and your application which can be filled out online.

·  You can make your monthly contributions online from your UAE bank account (free), Further details are available on our website at www.aircrewprotection.org in the MAKE A PAYMENT section.

We look forward to welcoming you to Aircrew Protection International.

Best regards,

The API Team
