HEIDI WOODGATE’S JUDGE’S CRITIQUE

For the Southern Afghan Club Open Show August 2004.

Thank You to all who turned out on the same weekend as the houndshow and also facing the soaring heat, it was very brave of you all! All the bitches were well turned out with the exception of one young bitch who was matted between her front legs. Although only a small entry there was plenty of quality and I definatly had no problems in finding a BB or RBB that pleased me.

What a heart-warming class, of beautiful old girls all looking fantastic and a credit to their owners.

1)Nazer / Gurney / Mallinson. Galinaka Elaine The Fair, Nine years old and could still show some of the youngsters a thing or two, in wonderful condition and coat, good spring of rib, deep chest, good bone, moved well like all the other girls in this class.

2)Wood. Metewand Shannona, Nine Years old. Dark Brindle inwonderful hard condition, nice head and eye, good shoulder, well balanced a presented.

3)Wood. Ioniok Whatashellibee, Seven years old and like above well muscled, moved well, what a hard class!

1)Floyds. Miamarna Thru The Baracades, B/silver/tan, just out of puppy and what a little stunner, so beautifully put together, well balanced fore and aft, with good feet and low hocks and sloping pasterns which showed in her movement, she has that wonderful air of arrogance about her and looks right through you.

2)Rhodes / Shaveneva. ShadowfaxCiao Agrippina, a lot to like about this little bitch, she has a very pleasing outline with a lovely elegance about her, long neck into a good shoulder, a nice rear angulation, moved well but refused to lift her tail. (Afghan Bitches!)

3)Butler. Mizpah Slinky Sophia at Salatini, gold nicely proportioned and well put together, showed herself nicely.

Azymuth Wheres My Broomstick, gold bitch who moved like a dream and looked a picture with a lovely outline, strong neck, good eye, nice shoulder placement, lovely topline into good rear angulation nice low hocks good width throughout, lovely deep saddle, so pleased to see her coat coming on so well as when I last saw this bitch a year ago, due to unforeseen circumstances she had no coat at all, a credit to her owner / breeder. There is so much to like about this bitch.

2)Clack. Cloudside Lucky Break, brindle another well put together bitch, who moved well with plenty of style just preferred head of 1st.

Nagazumi Dolcetto Kharisar JW B/Silver, standing she presents a lovely outline, she has a good strong neck into a well laid shoulders and good return of upper armNice rear angulation and well muscled throughout., deep chest with well sprung rib cage, good width throughout really comes into her own when she moves, I apologise for moving her so much in the heat but she really has movement to die for could watch her go all day BB and with my co – judge joint decision BIS.

2)Hills. Tico Trust Me With Sharhazlah, SC,CM a lovely gold bitch who is a favourite of mine, walks into the ring with an attitude that screams ‘look at me’.Nicely balanced head and long, strong neck, good front angulation deep chest, good topline, nice sweep from hip to hock well muscled, finished with a ring tail, moved very well, presented immaculately and showed like a dream. R.B.B and on referees decision R.B.I.S

3)Floyds. Phelezzi Pikachu B/S bitch who is another favourite of mine, beautifully put together, balanced throughout just refused to bring her tail up.
