HealthPartners has an exciting, new position for a Credentialing Data Analyst. This Analyst has overall responsibility is to ensure delegate practitioner data for over 60,000 practitioners is loaded accurately into the credentialing database (Cactus) and other provider databases in the organization. They will automatically load delegate credentialing data from a variety of external files into the credentialing database and other provider databases via the credentialing import application and facilitate the manual data entry of delegate data into the credentialing database and other provider databases.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Loads files from delegates into the Cactus Import application, which includes mapping data to existing dictionaries in Cactus.
  • Manages receipt and internal distribution of initial and recredentialing data from delegates.
  • Converts delegated data received via spreadsheet into workable formats for entry into credentialing database.
  • Develops, implements and improves methods for collecting and maintaining credentialing data submissions from external organizations.
  • Works with delegated groups to identify more efficient ways to submit data.
  • Validates database content to ensure completeness and accuracy. Identifies and resolves data integrity issues.
  • Works with delegated groups to resolve data questions and issues.
  • Maintains and updates credentialing import database and data in the credentialing database.
  • Identifies system changes needed to better import data into the HP credentialing and other provider data systems and implements the necessary changes.
  • Works with Director and other team members on various projects including data extraction.
  • Researches and answers questions about the data and assists team members and other departments with related data issues.
  • Provides analytical support to assist with operational decision-making.
  • Develops and maintains training materials and supportive documentation for database applications.
  • Assists in conducting database training.
  • Documents issues and problems regarding data and communicates to the appropriate persons.
  • Partners with IS&T to research and resolve identified data and database issues.
  • Provides appropriate written and verbal communication to delegates, team members, and director regarding issue identification and resolution.
  • Manages and coordinates work with minimal guidance of Director.
  • Productively works with all levels of management. Supports and assists leaders and team members.
  • Maintains appropriate confidentiality of information in accordance with HealthPartners corporate policies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience analyzing healthcare data, or High School Diploma/GED and four years’ experience analyzing healthcare data
  • Proficient at manipulating files in Excel
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills with special attention to detail including an ability to integrate multiple sources of data
  • Excellent communication skills and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with peers, constituents at all levels of the organization and external partners
