Course Description
Health class will consist of increasing an individual's capacity to use Basic Health Information and Services in ways to enhance their health. Students will comprehend and demonstrate concepts related to health issues and be able to make responsible decisions that relate to their health needs.

Grades Consist of: Health projects, Chapter tests consist of matching, multiple choice, short answers, and essay items, Quizzes, Chapter Review and Reviews at the end of each lesson, Current Events, Health Labs.

  • Daily grades- 40%
  • Major grades – 60%

Extra Credit - will be offered on an individual basis. (All homework must be turned in before extra credit is assigned.)
Make-up Work
- Students are responsible for make-up work.
Late Work

  • 1st day: -20 points
  • 2nd day: -40 points
  • 3rd day: zero!!
