Objective:

Create a one page current event report

Requirements

The article you chose must have been published THAT WEEK (date Friday – Friday)

The article must be about recenthealth news from sources on HOSA Health Care Issues Exam resources list at hosa.org – under resources - competitive event (CE) resource tab – CE guidelines – recognition category

Report must be typeset – NAME DATE PERIOD Top Rt Corner/ timesnewroman/12 size single spaced.

The title of the article, source and the date of the article must be on the first line of the reportCENTERED after name/date period….

Attach a copy of the article to your report ( can be on back of report)- highlighted with important "w's" who, what, where, when, why - / how ( yeah that’s a h!)

Instructions to complete your assignment

1)Write a summary that provides a complete overview of the article. Make sure you describe the claim or main idea expressed inthe article using your own words in one to two paragraphs. Make sure you paraphrase from the article to support your conclusion (i.e., include at least three supporting details from the article). What is your interpretation of this text, support your rationale.

2)Identify and define five terms/ vocabulary

3)While you are reading, come up with at least two questions that will help others grasp the main points of the article or issues you feel the author failed to answer.Write those questions/issues on your report using Webb’s Depth of Knowledge handout – must be level 3 or 4.
