n / Run cables clear of all sources of mechanical damage and so they do not create a hazard themselves. Where cables pass through fire barriers the effectiveness of the barrier must be maintained. Precautions should be taken to prevent dangerous interference with switchgear etc. by unauthorised persons. / y
