Overview of position:

We are recruiting for a bright and articulate Digital Media Executive to promote ICBI conferences. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Digital Media, however, the person will need to collaborate with the business heads and individual production, marketing and sponsorship staff, so good interpersonal skills and professional conduct are important.

This role is suitable for candidates who are comfortable with the workings of social media tools and blogs and have the initiative to suggest new ideas and processes, whilst also being comfortable carrying out established process. In addition, the candidate will be involved in coordinating media coverage of our events, ranging from filming schedules, coordinating interviews, managing live Twitter updates and overseeing the networking app and onsite press coverage.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the consistent execution of digital media marketing tactics across multiple events, predominantly through our Social Media channels
  • Drive and implement the digital media strategy for your portfolio of events, with valuable content as the central focus
  • Maintain and curate content for the corporate blogs (WordPress)
  • Drive content development and innovation for blogs and online syndication
  • Create and implement content schedules and regularly introduce new ideas for content formats
  • Engage, research and build following/communities for corporate social media accounts on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Google+ and Blogs
  • Manage and coordinate the ICBI Networking App, including marketing information and delegate/speaker bookings
  • Maintain dashboard tracking success of various campaigns
  • Work closely with marketing team to ensure seamless integration of social media marketing plans in overall marketing programme
  • Co-ordinate social media coverage of our events from organising filming schedules, interviews, live Twitter updates and publication of videos on YouTube and photos on Flickr
  • Build and maintain key relationships with third party companies as well as conference contacts

Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Valid passport as international travel is required
  • Bachelor’s level education or equivalent, specialisation in digital media an advantage
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail are essential in order to maintain a number of corporate blogs
  • Strong understandingofsocial media such as LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Google+, Facebookand Blogsis essential, as well as awareness of, and interest in newly developed social platforms such as Instagram, Vine, Pinterest etc. for B2B marketing.
  • Good understanding of best practiceregarding search engine optimization (SEO) for Google and other search engines
  • Demonstrable experience in the commercial applications of social media, particularly development and engagement of online communities
  • Ability to apply creativity and innovative ideas in an established commercial setting
  • Confident, friendly manner and ability to work well within a close-knot team as well as autonomously
  • Strong communication skills, online and in person
  • Must be self-motivated and ableto handle multiple projects - often under pressure
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and listening skills
  • Experience of standard Microsoft Office packages; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Desirable but not essential:Experience in Adobe PhotoShop, WordPress and Hootsuite
