He Must Increase

HE MUST INCREASE.....II

I like the answer of Peter to the instruction of Jesus, “4. Now when he (Jesus) had left speaking, he said unto „Simon, launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a drought.‟ 5. And Simon answering said unto him, Mater, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless AT THY WORD I will let down the net” (Luke 5:4-5).

The beautiful result of the realization that, our life is the place through which our Lord takes delight to magnify Himself and submit to Him totally is the unconditional OBEDIENCE! The obedience to His Word is the Key to receiving manifold blessing which our good Lord has promised us. If at all we understand the value of Obedience!

Not only that but as we stay I mean abide in Him through His Word in the place of obedience constantly we automatically LET DOWN OUR PRIDE, AND LET IT GO MANY THINGS WHICH ARE THE HINDRANCE for our intimate relationship with our Master of our life even Jesus Christ our Lord! There is nothing more important to stay in intimate relationship with our Lord through His Word. I had to let it go many things in the ministry and in life. It is very painful, tough in the beginning but it brings wonderful blessings and makes us humble.

When you and I realize that we need to decrease by allowing Him to increase in our lives He starts His work of breaking with our permission those things which are very hard like rocks. He starts shaping us according to His will and purpose and in this process His unconditional love, concern and healing touch is constantly present. HE knows we need that!

I would like to write few verses from John chapter 12 here for our meditation as we continue to look into to the precious topic, He must increase.... “ 20. And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast: 21. The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus. 22. Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus 23. And Jesus answered them, saying, „The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. 24. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.‟” (John 12: 20-24).

For the increase or multiplication or abundance harvest the death of a corn of wheat is must. The outer shell of the corn must be broken first. Then the work of death in a inner corn starts and after that multiplication, increase is visible to every one. Here Jesus is speaking of what kind of death he is going to die and how important his death and resurrection is for the harvest of souls into His Kingdom!

He cannot increase in our lives until and unless we die to self. The death of a self of outer man makes a way for God to start His work in the inner man which is most important. When death completes it`s work in us He starts increasing in our lives and we start decreasing completely vanished. There is no more “I” or “Me” but “He” and only “He” is visible in and through us very clearly! Our Heavenly Father doesn`t want to see anything in our lives but His earnest desire is to see His Beloved Son Jesus Christ being manifested in and through us!
