HAZELDEAN SQUARE: BACK TO SCHOOL COMPETITION- 2018 (“COMPETITION”)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“T’s and C’s”)

This Competition, conducted and organised by Hazeldean Square(“Hazeldean”), is subject to these T’s and C’s, as may be amended from time to time. Please read the T’s and C’s carefully and pay special attention to all the terms printed in bold.

  1. PROMOTER
  2. This Promotion is promoted by Pivotal CCF Proprietary Limited, Registration Number: 2007/011140/07(“Landlord”).
  3. The Landlord will make a final and binding decision in respect of all matters relating to the results, qualifiers and disputes relating to the Competition and no correspondence will be entered into.
  4. If considered necessary, the Landlord reserves the right to amend the T’s and C’s by providing reasonable prior notice.
  1. RULES
  2. To enter the Competition a participant (“Participant”) must be in possession of a valid South African identity document. A Participant must be at least 18 (eighteen) years or older to enter the Competition.
  3. The Competition may not be entered into by any director, member, partner, employee, agent, consultant, and tenant of the Landlord, the marketing service providers and/or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
  4. The Competition runs from 10 January 2018 until 10 February 2018(“Competition Period”). Any entries received after the Competition Period will not be taken into consideration.
  5. To enter the Competition, a Participant will be required, for the duration of the Competition Period, to-;
  6. visit the Hazeldean;
  7. spendan amount of R300.00 (Three Hundred Rand)(“Purchase”)at any of the participating stores (“Participating Stores”). The Purchase may be of a single till slip or made up of accumulative till slips which are to be attached to each other.
  8. ensure that the Purchase is made during the competition period with dates of purchase indicated on the till slip. Purchases made outside of the competition period will not be considered;
  9. write their name and surname, contact number and email address at the back of the till slip(s);
  10. place the till slip(s) in any one of the 3(three) entry boxes each placed at PNA, Montagu and at the Dis–chem Court, respectively.
  11. Upon compliance with 2.4a Participant will automatically be deemed to have entered the Competition.
  12. A Participant may enter as many times as they wish but may only win once.
  1. SELECTING A WINNER AND THE PRIZES TO BE AWARDED
  2. At expiry of the Competition Period 4 (four) winners will be selected by an independent auditor on 12 February 2018 at the Centre Management Office situated opposite the Dis-Chem court, within Hazeldean(“Winners”);
  3. Winners will each be awarded withone of the following prizes(“Prize”):

3.3The Prize, when redeemed by the Winner, may be subject to the terms and conditions as imposed by the individual Merchant (“Merchant Conditions”);

3.4All Winners will be announced by Hazeldean Centre management on 14 February 2018.

3.5The Prizes are not transferable and will not be changed or deferred for any reason whatsoever.

3.6Winners must collect their Prizes in person. No persons under the age of 18 (eighteen) shall qualify to win a Prize.

3.6.1Prizes to be collected from the Centre Management Offices, Hazeldean Square,

3.6.2Prizes to be collected during office hours, Monday to Friday between 08:00 - 17:00; and

3.6.3Winners may also contact the Centre Management Offices on 012809 3122.

3.7The Landlord will use reasonable efforts to contact each Winner via Telephone and/or via email and/or via direct message on Facebook. If the Landlord is unable to reach any Winner for whatsoever reason, such a Winner will be disqualified and the selection or draw of a replacement entry shall take place, as may be applicable. Such a Winner shall be contacted by the Landlord via Telephone and/or via email as soon as reasonably practicable and shall be required to respond to the Landlord set out in such correspondence.

  2. For the duration of the Competition Period, a copy of these T’s and C’s can, at no cost -
  3. be found on the following website (“Promotion page”) and/or
  4. be obtained from Hazeldean Centre management during week day office hours from 8 am to 5 pm; and/or
  5. the HazeldeanFacebook Page at the following link: and/or
  6. be requested telephonically on telephone number 012809 3122.
  7. The Landlord reserves the right to terminate the Competition with immediate effect before the end of the Competition Period at any time, if deemed necessary in its sole discretion or if circumstances arise outside of its control. No Participating Team or Participating School will have any claim against the Landlord for such a termination.
  8. Participation in the Competition constitutes automatic acceptance of the T’s and C’s contained herein and the Participating Teams agree to abide by the T’s and C’s.
  9. Winners may not win any Hazeldean Competition more than once in a 30-day period. Any winners selected who have won in the last 30 days will be disqualified from any such Competition and another winner will be drawn.
  10. All Winners in respect of the Competition may be requested to be photographed so that their photographs may be used for future promotional post Competition purposes in relation to Hazeldean. Promoting platforms will include our Facebook Page and website page as well as community newspapers and shopping centre retail industry publications. No fees will be payable in this regard. The Winners will be given the opportunity to decline the publication of their images.
  11. The Landlord does not make any representations or give any warranties, whether express or implicit, that the Participating Team’s participation in this Competition will necessarily result in the Participating School winning a prize or that the aforesaid prize will meet the Participating Team’s and/or Participating Schools unique requirements, preferences, standards or expectations.
  12. To the extent permissible in law, the Landlord is not responsible and cannot be held liable for any accident, injury, harm, death, loss or damages of whatsoever nature, howsoever arising, as a result of the Participating Team’s participation in the Competition, unless the Landlord acted fraudulently or with gross negligence.
  13. Participating Teams are obliged to comply with all applicable laws, including those laws protecting the intellectual property rights of other parties.
  14. These T’s and C’s will be construed, interpreted and enforced in terms of South African law.
