- Applied for Co-Op funding again
- Tesco application being assessed in the next two weeks
- Have only received 2 Gift Aid forms back, will add them to the registration pack for next season
- Russ is looking to find a sponsor for the goalkeepers
- Steven Ashworth may have sponsors for lades/dev squad
- Some of the Ladies grant was intended for advertising, how could we use it? Advertising billboard on Bocholt Way £1,500?
Team News
- Sophie has her level 1 qualification booked
- Will possibly take a younger team – U8’s?
Soccer School
- Groups are getting bigger and there is concern that we are close to saturation point
- Bad weather does cause people to drop out over the winter
- Possibly look at 2 hour slots and split up differently
Hurricanes
- Enthusiastic group but varying abilities
- 11 registered
- New girls starting from the Saturday school
Tornadoes
- 22 playing
- Winter league finished so games will carry on through summer
- Fixturex being played every week
Hawks
- Doing well and gelling as a group
- Won last week’s game
- Home game coming up
- All signed up for next season
U11’s
- Steven A has been taking them for training
- Paul leaving has left a gap
- Good skills in the group but they need to be kept occupied
U12’s
- Lost out to Pendle Forest in the cup
- Only one league game since last meeting which was against Clitheroe and won
- 3rd in league but could still finish 2nd as have to play 1st and 2nd above us
U13’s
- Have been very unlucky and some very close game, still need to get a win
- Players need to be in established positions
U14’s
- 2nd in league
- Will have to play midweek games to catch up as so many cancelled due to the weather
U15’s
- Need 1 point from next two games to guarantee 2nd
- Still in the cup
- Going into open league
Ladies
- Still struggling with weather
- New people coming next season
- Upcoming games against FC Rangers x 2
Goalkeepers
- Need to think about splitting the groups up as some of the younger girls aren’t physically strong enough to do the same exercises as the older ones
- Have discussed Russ taking the youngers set and Ian & Simon taking the older set
- Agree that the keepers train with their teams 1 week in 4 to keep them in touch
AOB
Training
- From May 7-9 @ Fearns, all teams to train together
All Saints collaboration
- Diocese have said yes
- LCC will need to get back to them with financial questions
- Ready to go to planning, need topographical surveys etc.
- Separate meeting needs to be arranged to discuss
Friday 6th April
- Australian Wanderers team playing HGLFC at Fearns from 6.30. U14’s, U15’s & U16’s
Holiday Club
- 16 registered for Tues/16 for Weds/9 Thurs/6 Fri
- Certificates, medals & trophies arranged
- Indoor games sorted in case of bad weather
Presentation Evening
- Booked for 23rd June
- Laser Tag & Grip & Go arranged for girls to play
- Suggestions for food
- Run our own bar again
Friday night game against an Australian team, supper afterwards
