Dear Member

I haven’t written to you for some time but I do hope that you have been keeping in touch via our very own Devon website or the national one, the addresses of which are above. Unfortunately I will be unable to write to you personally again in the future as the postage costs are so high and increasing prohibitively again in April and the amount of my time it takes to simply write & address so many letters. I can only assume that perhaps some of you are quite content to just read our very own excellent FFA magazine & that’s absolutely fine. However, if you wish for more from the FFA then I would like to encourage you to contact me by telephone (to advise me of your contact details) or email (so that I can add you to our address list) or send me your mobile number (so that I can text you a reminder of upcoming activities) or by post. I will leave you to contact me but please do it now before you forget!! - I DO really want to hear from you please!!

I have also arranged a couple of winter evening meetings which I would like to invite you to come along to and join in. On Wednesday 25th January at Whiddon Down Village Hall, we are holding a Devon FFA Group social evening at 7.00pm for a 7.30 start. We will review 2011 activities and look forward & plan for 2012, discuss our finances, membership and promotional activities, watch some old F & F footage, ask members to bring along old photographs, manuals, brochures & any items of interest, refreshments will be served & there will also be a fund raising raffle. So please do dig out some suitable material for your contribution to make it an enjoyable & interesting evening.

On Friday 24th February, again at Whiddon Down Village Hall at 7.00pm for a 7.30 start, we have a great evening lined up when Peter Love, who is editor of our own FFA magazine is coming to speak to us. The evening will start off with introductions and a brief bit of business before Peter begins with approx. 30 minutes of “Henry Ford & his life”. We will then break whilst refreshments will be served & there will also be a fund raising raffle. PL’s talk will then continue with a theme of “Out & About with a Camera”. I know that some of us have been fortunate to hear Peter speak before & know just how entertaining he is & we can only encourage you all to make the effort & come along to enjoy what should be a memorable evening.
