On behalf of the Workers Compensation Board (WCB) of Nova Scotia, we are looking for an Ergonomist to join their team in Halifax on a permanent basis.

Reporting directly to the Manager, Practice Leadership, and the Ergonomist is responsible forproviding ergonomics coaching, direction, and consultation to Nova Scotia employers.The Ergonomist will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team toimprove overall health, productivity and quality in the workplace, and reduce musculoskeletal injuries, usinginjury reduction measures, participatory ergonomics, and other creative strategiesbased on sound ergonomics principals.

As the ideal candidate,you are a natural influencer withexcellent facilitation, training and consultation skills. Witha broad-based knowledge of human characteristics, limitations and capabilities, you have experience working in the field of ergonomics, and a proven ability to create readiness, build relationships, complete rapid cycle projects and produce results. You are comfortable delivering presentations, workshops and training, and usinga creative and engaging approach. A degree with a major in Ergonomics or Human Factors Engineering, and a recognized certification such as BCPE or CREE is required.
