Spring 2016
Dear Chorus Families,
It has been a wonderful pleasure working with all of your students in Fourth Grade Chorus this year. This group has shown a tremendous amount of growth, from singing the infamous “Coffee” song to the energetic “I Won’t Grow Up” this spring. I am very proud of them and all of the music that they have shared!
I hope that many of the fourth graders will continue to sing as members of the fifth grade chorus. In fifth grade, you must sign up for chorus just as you sign up for band or orchestra. Chorus will meet in the afternoon during the school day, but not during class instruction. The chorus rehearsals will be on different days from band and orchestra, allowing students to participating in those groups as well. That means a student in chorus can also be in band or orchestra.
We will have two concerts again next year, one in the winter and another in the spring.
If your child is interested in joining chorus in fifth grade, please return the bottom of this letter before June 10th. I hope that many of you will continue with chorus in fifth grade. It has been a pleasure working with all of you. I hope to do so again next year!
